      November 04,2011- It's fall and the housing market here has started to turn around.  People are buying both houses and lots, and some folks have started building.  We just finished a new custom house on the north end of St. Simons.  It is approximately 4000 sq ft heated, and is situated on over 1 Acre with a spectacular marsh view.  It features 10 ft ceilings, 2 fireplaces, 3.5 baths, an enormous Master Suite, and a gorgeous custom kitchen with granite counters.  The owners had local architect Ed Rowley design the plan, and they moved in this past summer.  Many lot prices have dropped to rock bottom levels, and building costs are still low also. Now is a great opportunity to have the exact house plan and setting you want, while building costs are still low! 

     We also just finished a new Southern Living Plan on the south end of the Island by Moser.  It has about 2900 sq ft under roof, as well as a detached garage.  It features a galvalume metal roof, Hardee Plank siding, wide hardwood and porcelain tile floors, and 10 and 12 ft ceilings.  The kitchen cabinets have a distressed painted finish, with granite counters, a large Island, and a separate desk for cookbooks, etc.  The living room features built-ins on each side of the Island.  There's a very nice screened porch, and the house is walking distance to the beach, in a very private setting.

     We also do renovation work, and just finished a complete remodel of an Ocean Walk Condominium.  The owner had us replace the cabinets with lovely custom painted cabinets, add ship lap board siding in strategic areas, upgrade the base board and casing, and remodel the bathrooms.  This was finished the first of September.

     We find many people are considering doing major remodels and additions to their homes instead of selling and having to move.  This is one of our specialties, and we are always happy to discuss this option, or building a new home, at no charge.
